Step Forward for Safety: PSV College NSS Joins State-Level Road Safety Walkathon
Event Overview
On January 23, 2026, the NSS Unit of PSV College of Arts and Science demonstrated its unwavering commitment to community welfare by participating in a high-impact Walkathon Rally for National Road Safety Month. Organized by the Puducherry National Service Scheme in collaboration with the Transport Department, Puducherry, the event kicked off at 3:00 PM from the iconic Gandhi Statue on Beach Road.
Our volunteers were at the heart of the movement, marching with enthusiasm and purpose to advocate for life-saving habits. Through vibrant placards and rhythmic slogans, the PSV team brought critical attention to essential safety practices, including mandatory helmet usage, the dangers of drunk driving, and the vital importance of obeying traffic signals. Beyond the march, our students actively engaged with the public by distributing informative pamphlets, turning a simple rally into a powerful educational outreach. This initiative not only contributed to a safer Puducherry but also showcased the leadership and civic responsibility that define the spirit of PSV College.
